Happy Second LJ Anniversary to me!!!

I find it hard to believe that it's only been 2 years since I started posting here and chatting with you all. What did I used to do with all my free time? No seriously...I have no recollection...bake? sleep? SLEEP! I used to sleep...that was it! So basically, I haven't slept in 2 years...which I think explains a number of things.

But mostly, I want to take a moment to say thank you to all the people I've met while here...and my wonderful friends list especially. You are a fantastic group of creative, kind, witty, obsessive (sometimes!), drunk (always! ha, I kid...I joke...) people and I'm so privileged to know you. Props especially to deathisyourart...who, although I knew her before the world of LJ, has made the experience of being here so wonderful! You rock like a Festive Fraggle!

And in case I don't get a chance later...I wish everyone a wonderful and safe holiday!! And a very Happy New Year!

I get to work this morning, have my tasty Caffe Mocha, open my Gmail account and find that I have 30 new messages!!! And those messages? All LJ comment notifications from the past 2 weeks...helpful, yes? Good lord.

Oh...and I saw a taxi driver take out a guy on a bicycle this morning...opened his door and the biker couldn't stop in time and literally, flipped right off his bike and over the door into traffic!!!! Luckily, there were no oncoming cars...so he was not seriously hurt - he had his helmet on and managed to get up but was, not so much stunned, as REALLY pissed off. The cabbie helped him and his bike off the road...but you just know the guy wanted to pummel the driver into next week.

Off to pester the bitter ladies in accounting now...wish me luck!
